Date of Interim Results

Henry Boot PLC will announce its Interim Results for the half year ended 30th
June 2005 under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on Wednesday
21st September 2005.  Prior to this, a document setting out the restatement of
results for the half year ended 30th June 2004 and for the year ended 31st
December 2004 in accordance with IFRS will be issued on Wednesday 7th September
2005 (to be the subject of an Announcement on that day) to assist understanding
of the transition from previously adopted UK Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (UK GAAP).
