HENRY BOOT PLC APPOINTMENT

Henry Boot PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John Sutcliffe BA
ACA as Group Finance Director and Company Secretary.

John is currently Finance Director of Town Centre Securities PLC, a position he
has held for 4 years.

John will join Henry Boot in the second half of the year, taking over from Tony
Cooper who has deferred his retirement to 30th September 2006.
