Notification of Major Interests in Shares
Moore Street Securities Limited, a corporate trustee, has today informed Henry
Boot PLC that its holding of Ordinary Shares in the Company was reduced by
77,365 on 1 February 2002 to satisfy the exercise of SAYE share options and that
it is now the registered holder of 1,507,352 Ordinary Shares in the company, an
interest of 5.83%, of which 750,000 (2.90%) are beneficially held by the Henry
Boot Staff Pension and Life Assurance Scheme and 757,352 (2.93%) are
beneficially held by the Henry Boot Employee Share Ownership Plan. Previous
notifications of major interests in shares by Moore Street Securities Limited
(made on 30.01.01, 31.01.01, 26.04.01 & 15.08.01) did not reflect the fact that
the 750,000 shares of the Henry Boot Staff Pension & Life Assurance Scheme were
transferred from the previously appointed custodian to Moore Street Securities
Limited in January 2001.
