Major Development at Bridgwater

The Board of Henry Boot, is pleased to announce the Group has been granted planning permission for a major mixed use regeneration scheme in Bridgwater, Somerset.

The 110 hectare site, comprising part brownfield and part greenfield land, is located adjacent to the M5 and is a major element of the Bridgwater Challenge initiative to revitalise the economic fortunes of the town.  Hallam Land Management, the strategic land arm of Henry Boot, has secured planning permission for up to 110,000 sq mtrs of employment floorspace, including a 75,000 sq mtr regional distribution centre for Wm Morrison Supermarket PLC, a commercial services centre to provide local retail opportunities, up to 2000 new homes, a primary school, improvements in recreational facilities and substantial enhancements to the local transport and green infrastructure.
