The Board of Henry Boot notes the recent press speculation in relation to its
house building activities ('Henry Boot Homes').  The Company confirms that it is
in discussions concerning the future of Henry Boot Homes which may or may not
lead to the sale of that business.  A further announcement will be made as soon
as is appropriate.
