Final closing of HgCapital 8 and Mercury 2

HgCapital, the Manager of HgCapital Trust plc ("The Company"), has announced the final closing of HgCapital 8 and Mercury 2 raising a total of c. £3.1 billion / €3.7 billion for future investment.

The Company, the listed investment trust which participates in all HgCapital's investments alongside its institutional clients, has committed a total of £350 million to the HgCapital 8 vintage and £80 million to the Mercury 2 vintage. As a result, the Company will be the largest investor in both of these vintages.

The investments within the Company's portfolio were last valued at 30 June 2016. The Company's 2016 annual results, including the re-valuation of the portfolio as at 31 December 2016 will be announced on 6 March 2017.
