                          Transaction in own securities


The Company announces that on 7 June 2007 it purchased 100,000 Sterling Shares
at a price of 103.375 pence per Sterling Share for Treasury.


Following the transaction, the Company's capital therefore consists of
135,283,599 Sterling Shares, 5,676,877 Euro Shares and 9,632,602 US$ Shares, of
which 100,000 Sterling Shares are held in Treasury.
