Disposal discussions


The Board of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC ('Hill & Smith') is pleased to announce
that it is in advanced discussions to sell the business and assets of SI
Pressure Instruments Limited ('SI'). In the year ended 31 December 2001, SI
generated turnover of £2.9 million with a loss before tax of £0.02 million and
had net assets of £0.75 million at that year end. A further announcement will be
made in due course.
