HAMILTON, Bermuda; Hiscox Ltd has been informed that on 9 April 2009, Robert Ralph Scrymgeour Hiscox, Director, acquired 2,185 shares in the Company at £3.1725. This is in addition to the acquisition of 2,251 shares, announced on 9 April 2009.

Following the above purchase, Mr. Hiscox holds 6,383,012 Ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company, representing 1.71 % of the Company's issued share capital.
