Hochschild appoints Independent Non-Executive Director
Hochschild Mining plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Enrico Bombieri as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 November 2012.
Mr Bombieri is the former Head of Investment Banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA") at JPMorgan.
After joining JP Morgan in 1989, Mr Bombieri held a variety of positions in the London and Milan offices. In addition to acting as Head of Investment Banking for EMEA, he also served as a member of JP Morgan's Executive Committee, the Investment Bank's Operating Committee and the European Management Committee. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Mr Bombieri worked for Guinness Mahon in London and Lehman Brothers in New York and London.
Following Mr Bombieri's appointment, the Company's Board comprises ten Directors of which seven are independent Non-Executive Directors.
Commenting on the appointment, Eduardo Hochschild, Chairman, said:
