Hochschild Mining plc ('the Company') announces that Dr Graham Birch, a Non-Executive Director, has purchased 10,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company ('Shares') at an average price of £4.7673 per Share.

The transaction, which took place on the London Stock Exchange, was effected and notified to the Company on 27 March 2012 and brings Dr Birch's total shareholding in the Company to 10,000 Shares.
