Conversion Rate for 2008 Final Dividend

Further to the preliminary announcement of annual results released on 25 March 2009, the Directors of Hochschild Mining plc ('the Company') have determined that the exchange rate to be applied to the 2008 final dividend is US$1: GB£0.677865.

The final dividend will be paid on 28 May 2009 subject to shareholder approval at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 26 May 2009.
