Holders Technology PLC
8 February 2000
Holders Technology PLC announces that the outcome for the financial year ended
30 November 1999 is likely to be lower than market expectations. The
shortfall to market expectations is expected to be less than 20 per cent. and
is largely due to a general slowdown and to difficult trading conditions in
the UK and Benelux.
The high level of sterling has contributed to the trading conditions being
experienced in the UK market and has had an adverse impact on the translation
of Krone and Marks to sterling arising from otherwise satisfactory trading
results achieved in Sweden and Germany.
The Company continues to invest in its new technologies and is seeing revenues
starting to accrue from these. In general, the new year has started well
although the current high level of the pound continues to present
difficulties.
The Company expects to make its preliminary announcement of results for the
year ended 30 November 1999 on 7 March 2000.
