JOHN WITT APPOINTED CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OF HONGKONG LAND
21st December 2009 - Hongkong Land Holdings Limited today announced the appointment of John Witt as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1st April 2010. He will succeed Geoffrey Brown following his appointment as Finance Director of Jardine Matheson Group companies Jardine Pacific and Jardine Motors.
Mr Witt has been Chief Financial Officer of Mandarin Oriental, also a subsidiary of Jardine Matheson, since 2000, having been appointed as director of corporate finance in 1998. Before then, Mr Witt had held a number of finance positions within the Jardine Matheson Group, which he first joined in 1993.
"Geoffrey has played an important role in Hongkong Land's development over the past five years. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him well in his new role," said Hongkong Land's Chief Executive, Y K Pang. "We are also pleased to welcome John to the Board of Hongkong Land," he added.
Mr Witt is a Canadian national and is married with four children. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a bachelor degree from the University of Toronto, Canada as well as an MBA from INSEAD in France.
