DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS - SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDER



On 20th October 2005, HKLH was notified that as at 17th October 2005, Wheelock
and Company Limited ('Wheelock') was interested in 81,923,676 ordinary shares of
HKLH (the 'Shares') representing 3.60% of the issued ordinary share capital of
HKLH.  The registered holder of the Shares is The Central Depository (Pte)
Limited.



The holding of Wheelock was previously disclosed at 4.99% in January 2004.
