Result of AGM

At the Annual General Meeting of Hornby plc (the 'Company') held today at
11.00am, all resolutions were passed, including the ordinary resolution to
sub-divide each existing Ordinary Share of 5p in the Company into five new
Ordinary Shares of 1p each (the 'New Ordinary Shares') with effect from the
close of business on 30 July 2004.

Application will be made for the admission to the Official List of the UK
Listing Authority of the 37,068,530 New Ordinary Shares and for their admission
to trading on the market for listed securities of the London Stock Exchange plc.
Accordingly, dealings in the New Ordinary Shares are expected to commence at
8.00am on 2 August 2004.
