                              HORNBY PLC ('HORNBY')

                                  TRADING UPDATE


Since its trading update of 30 January 2006, Hornby, the international models
and collectibles group, is pleased to report that the Company has enjoyed better
than expected trading through the final quarter of the financial year.

Consequently, the Company expects profits before tax for the year to 31 March
2006 to be not less than £8.0 million.
