MFI FURNITURE GROUP PLC
We hereby notify you that on 23rd December 2002 John Hancock, CEO and executive
director of MFI Furniture Group Plc ('the Company'), exercised a share option to
buy 6458 ordinary shares in the Company at 30 pence per share in accordance with
the terms of the MFI Furniture Group Plc Sharesave Scheme.
In addition, we also notify you that on 23rd December 2002 Mr Hancock's spouse,
Mrs D Hancock, transferred 5000 ordinary shares in the Company to her son, Mr H
Hancock (age 18).
Following the above transactions, Mr Hancock's holding in the Company now stands
at 407,173 ordinary shares of 10 pence each, such notifications having been
given in accordance with Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985.
