MFI Furniture Group Plc ('MFI')
Board Change
Mark Horgan has indicated his intention to leave MFI at the end of August 2005
in order to take up an appointment as Chief Executive of The Number 118 118. He
has accordingly resigned from the Board of MFI with immediate effect and will
not be standing for reappointment at today's Annual General Meeting. Mark will
remain a member of the Group Executive Committee until his departure and in that
capacity, will continue to oversee the stabilisation and recovery programme in
UK Retail. A search for a successor is underway.
John Hancock, Chief Executive Officer of MFI, commented:
'Mark has made a valuable contribution to MFI over a period of more than five
years and has been a great colleague. We wish him all the best for the future. '
