MFI FURNITURE GROUP Plc ('the Company')
DIRECTORS' INTERESTS
We hereby notify you that on 16 June 2000, Mr Ian Peacock, a Non-
executive director and Chairman of the Company, purchased an interest
in 31740 ordinary shares in the Company at 63 pence per share.
This interest was acquired by Mr Peacock under the terms of his
appointment as Non-executive director and Chairman. Under these terms,
Mr Peacock is to apply £20,000 of his fees towards the purchase of
shares in the Company which must be held by him until the earlier of
17 May 2003 and his ceasing to be Chairman.
The Company was notified of the above interest of Mr Peacock on 16
June in accordance with Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985.
