The Company has received notification pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies
Act 1985, that at the close of business on 27 September 2004, Aviva plc, had an
interest in 25,850,702 10 pence ordinary shares of MFI Furniture Group Plc (4.15
per cent of the issued share capital) following purchases totalling 3,150,000
ordinary shares on 27 September 2004.
