Notifications for the purposes of sections 198-203 Companies Act 1985

The Company has received notification pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies
Act 1985, that at the close of business on 9 February 2005, Aviva plc (and it's
subsidiary, Morley Fund Management Ltd), had an interest in 24,144,989 10 pence
ordinary shares of MFI Furniture Group Plc (3.87 per cent of the issued share
capital) following sales totalling 697,182 ordinary shares on 9 February 2005.
