Notification of transaction in shares by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

The Company has been notified that Jackie Youell, wife of Chris Youell (a director of Howden Joinery Ltd and a person disclosing managerial responsibility within the Company),  sold 50,000 ordinary shares at a price of 115 pence per share on 22 July 2011. 

This notification is made pursuant to the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
