The following announcement replaces one issued under RNS Number 0683Q at 12:43
on 24 January 2007. The number of shares held under the Computershare Trustees
Limited Account SIP and resultant total holding were over-stated by one share
following an error in the data provided to the issuer by the Administrator of
the HSBC Holdings UK Share Ownership Plan. A full revised version of the
announcement is set out below:
