HSBC ISSUANCE OF TIER 1 CAPITAL SECURITIES
On 24 June 2010, HSBC Holdings plc issued US$3,400,000,000 of 8.00 per cent Perpetual Subordinated Capital Securities, Series 2 (the "New Securities"). The New Securities are innovative tier 1 securities and will form part of HSBC Holdings plc's tier 1 capital.
Application has been made to list the New Securities on the New York Stock Exchange.
