The following announcement amends the one issued under RNS number 6397D, at 16.15pm on 30 April 2013 which contained a typing error. The month relating to the issued share capital in the second paragraph has been amended from March 2013 to April 2013. The revised announcement is set out below:

The following notification is made in accordance with the UK Financial Services Authority Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1.

On 29 April 2013, the issued share capital of HSBC Holdings plc with voting rights was 18,572,376,449 ordinary shares of US$0.50. No shares are held in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in HSBC Holdings plc is 18,572,376,449.

The above figure for the total number of voting rights may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, HSBC Holdings plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
