Appointment and retirement of Non Executive Direct

HUNTING PLC ANNOUNCEMENT

Hunting PLC announces the appointment of Hector J. McFadyen on 4th September 2002 and the retirement of Alan Fryer on
19th September 2002 as Non Executive Directors of the Company.  Alan Fryer who was formerly Deputy Chief Executive of
Smith & Nephew plc, joined the Board in 1994.

Hector McFadyen aged 59 who lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada was, prior to his retirement in June 2002, a Senior
Executive of Alberta Energy Company Ltd., (now EnCana Corporation) one of North America's largest independent upstream
oil and gas companies.

Mr. McFadyen has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry including the leadership of successful Canadian
companies in the oil pipeline and gas storage businesses.  He has been the President and CEO of AEC Pipelines L.P., as
well as a director of other Canadian public and private companies.
