For immediate release 25 July 2005 Hunting PLC ('Hunting') Result of Extraordinary General Meeting Hunting announces that at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held earlier today, the Resolution put to Shareholders was duly passed, increasing the authorised share capital of the Company and granting the necessary authorities to the Directors for the Rights Issue to proceed as set out in the Prospectus sent to Shareholders dated 1 July 2005. It is expected that admission of the New Ordinary Shares, nil paid, to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities will become effective and that dealings will commence in the New Ordinary Shares, nil paid, at 8.00 a.m. on 26 July 2005. The latest time and date for acceptance and payment in full under the Rights Issue is 11.00 a.m. on 16 August 2005. It is expected that Nil Paid Rights will be credited to the stock accounts of Qualifying CREST Shareholders (other than those with registered addresses in the United States and the Excluded Territories) and enabled in CREST as soon as practicable after 8.00 a.m. on 26 July 2005. Accordingly, Provisional Allotment Letters in respect of entitlements to New Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Rights Issue will be posted today to Qualifying non-CREST Shareholders (other than those with registered addresses in the United States and the Excluded Territories).
