London: Monday, 2 April 2007: The Board of Hutchison China MediTech Limited
('Chi-Med') today announces that Mr. Stephen Yeung who has been a Non-executive
Director of Chi-Med since April 2006 retired with effect from 1 April 2007.


Simon To, Chairman said: 'We would like to express our deep appreciation for all
his contribution to Chi-Med and wish him well.'


Stephen Yeung was appointed to the Chi-Med Board last year as a representative
of Hutchison Whampoa Limited's interests.
