Transaction in own shares

ITE Group plc ('ITE')

On 6 July 2007 ITE acquired 700,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p each at a
price of 170p per share. These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, ITE holds 4,480,000 of its ordinary shares in Treasury
and has a total of 254,136,641 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in
Treasury) in issue.
