Transaction in own shares

ITE Group plc ('ITE')

On  15  September 2008,  ITE acquired  216,374 of its own ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 147.9432p  per share. These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, ITE holds 3,391,374 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of  249,962,113 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
