Transaction in own shares

ITE Group plc ('ITE')

On  17  September 2008,  ITE acquired  1,350,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 126.6448p  per share. These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, ITE holds 5,054,024 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of  248,299,463 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
