ITE Group plc ('ITE')

ITE announces that on 13 June 2006 it acquired 775,833 of its own ordinary
shares of 1p each at a price of 116p per share. It is intended that these shares
will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, ITE holds 775,833 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and
has a total of 259,931,690 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury)
in issue.
