Transaction in own shares

ITE Group plc ('ITE')

On  4 September 2008,  ITE acquired  250,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 160p  per share. These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, ITE holds 2,250,000 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of  251,103,487 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
