IDOX plc
AGM statement
IDOX plc (AIM: IDOX, 'IDOX' or the 'Company'), a leading independent supplier of software and services to the UK public sector and other markets, is holding its Annual General Meeting today.
At the AGM, Chairman Martin Brooks will make the following statement:
"The Company has seen a strong start to the trading year with an uplift of new orders in the first quarter compared to the previous year. Overall revenues for the year to date and resultant profitability are significantly ahead of last year, the acquisitions made are performing to plan or better and the company's cost base continues to be very well contained. As in previous years the weighting of delivery and revenue recognition will be towards the second half of the year, especially with Easter and other public holidays falling close together in April, usually a period of high activity for the company.
"There continues to be an attractive pipeline of possible acquisitions which meet the Company's exacting criteria and the potential acquisition of LalPac announced on 9 February 2011 is being progressed with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) for their consideration.
"Although it is still early in the trading year to make confident forecasts on outlook, particularly during a period of continuing economic uncertainty, we are very encouraged by progress so far."
