Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
The board of Idox plc (AIM: IDOX, "Idox" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Mackie as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.
Jane (aged 34) has been a member of the Company's finance team for over eight years, where she has held the position of Group Financial Controller since 1 March 2009 and Company Secretary since 1 December 2009. Prior to this Jane was an assistant audit manager at Grant Thornton in Glasgow where she qualified as a Chartered Account in 2004. Jane has a first class degree in Accounting from the University of Strathclyde, where she graduated in 2001.
Jane is the beneficial holder of 37,562 ordinary shares of Idox ("Ordinary Shares"), which equates to a beneficial interest in 0.01% of the total issued Ordinary Share capital of the Company, and holds options over 195,122 and 500,000 further Ordinary Shares under the Company's Option Scheme, which are exercisable at 10.25 pence and 18 pence respectively per Ordinary Share.
Commenting on her appointment Martin Brooks, Chairman of Idox said,
"After a rigorous selection process involving both external as well as internal candidates, we are delighted that we are appointing Jane as Chief Financial Officer. She has been an integral part of the Group's finance team for the past eight years and we feel that this is the natural next step for her and the Company's development. Our shareholders will know that we are a strong supporter of investing in the development of our own staff and Jane is no exception; bringing to the board a combination of strong technical expertise and a clear vision for the strategic role of our finance function as well as her intimate knowledge of Idox's operations."
