IDOX joins leading corporate solutions providers
The software division of IDOX plc has completed a number of major enhancements
to its software suite and gained critical government accreditation, thus
broadening the potential market. The success of these enhancements has seen the
Company's profile increase across a broad range of local government departments,
strengthening IDOX's credibility as a local authority corporate-wide software
provider allowing it to compete for larger contracts.
The Company signed two key new contracts in the last quarter (ending July 05) in
the Revenue and Benefits departments of Tonbridge & Malling and Dartford
Councils. These authorities intend to implement the underlying technology across
their organisations. In addition, further sales outside the Company's
traditional dominant position in the Planning departments have been concluded in
the Housing departments of Poole, Colchester, Aylesbury Vale Councils and the
Social Services departments of Western Isles, Clackmannanshire, Poole and
Lincolnshire Councils.
These major contract wins are the result of the Company's further investment in
its electronic document and records management system (EDRMS) which achieved the
stringent standard of TNA2002 (The National Archives) accreditation earlier this
year. This investment in enterprise-wide EDRMS provides its customers with a
future-proofed solution. Customers who have purchased this accredited module as
an enhancement to their existing IDOX Software system include Brighton & Hove,
Dartford, Chichester, Swindon and Poole Councils.
'These new customers establish IDOX as a corporate-wide solutions provider thus
achieving our objective of expanding out from our strong position in Planning.
We believe that local authorities still have a lot of work to do to put services
online and improve the general efficiency and effectiveness of local authorities
to meet the various targets and cost pressures. We are well placed to take
further advantage of the growing need to deliver robust tried and tested
corporate solutions in this sector.' says Andrew Fraser, CEO.
