                                 Trading Update

IDOX plc ('IDOX' or 'the Group'), the information and knowledge management
group, is pleased to announce that trading for the 12 months to 31 October 2005
has been in line with market expectations.

IDOX continues to make good progress within the local authority market and has
recently signed new contracts with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Oadby
& Wigston District Council, Shropshire County Council, Essex County Council,
Scottish Borders Council and the London Borough of Newham; bringing the number
of clients to 212 from a total of 468.

Recent wins in the wider public sector include the Metropolitan Police, Kent
Police, British Transport Police, the NHS Health Libraries Group, NHS Education
for Scotland, HM Revenue & Customs, DTI, DEFRA and we continue to work on a
number of projects with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

Andrew Fraser, Chief Executive of IDOX, said: 'We are delighted with our recent

addition, the recent successes in the wider public sector demonstrate IDOX's
ability to broaden the Group's market. Recent enhancements to our offering have

IDOX will announce final results for the year ended 31 October 2005 on Monday 12
December 2005.
