IG Group appoints Christopher Hill as Finance Director

IG Group Holdings plc is pleased to announce that Christopher Hill will be joining the Group Board as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 26 April 2011.

Christopher, aged 39, is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Travelex, a group providing cross-border payment and foreign exchange services to corporate and individual clients.  Chris joined Travelex in 2007.  Prior to this he worked at VWR international, a US-based global laboratory supply company (2005 - 07) and at General Electric (2000 - 05).  Chris is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.  He has an MA in Modern History from Oxford University.  There are no other matters requiring disclosure under LR 9.6.13.

Commenting on his appointment, Jonathan Davie, Chairman, said:

"We are delighted that Chris will be joining the Board.  His recent experience in a rapidly growing international business will prove valuable to IG Group as we continue our strategy of geographic expansion.  I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Matt Tooth for the excellent job he is doing in the role of interim finance director and I wish him well in his next role within the Group."
