Capital Markets Day and Trading Update
Retail investor Q&A being held at new time of 11am BST on Friday 26 April 2024
Ilika (AIM: IKA), a pioneer in solid-state battery technology, provides an update on trading ahead of its Capital Markets Day, and announces that the Company will be hosting a remote Q&A session for retail investors on the new date and time of Friday 26 April 2024 at 11am BST.
Capital Markets Day
Hosted by Graeme Purdy, CEO, and Jason Stewart, CFO, the event will be an opportunity to learn more about Ilika and its product portfolio, recent progress, financials and outlook. The team will also provide commentary on market trends and the broader opportunity, with participation from the management team as well as clients, collaborators and external speakers discussing the solid-state battery space. The presentation from the event will be uploaded to the Ilika website here at 14:00pm BST today.
Trading Update
Trading for the year ended 30 April 2024 ("FY 2024") has been in line with current market expectations and the Company expects to generate revenue of approximately £2.0m for FY 2024 (FY 2023: £0.8m). As announced on 24 November 2023, this figure reflects a material increase in grant funding received during H1 of the current financial year and, as expected, this was not replicated in H2 due to the phasing of grant activity. Cash and cash equivalents at 30 April 2024 are expected to be higher than expected and approximately £11.0m (30 April 2023: £15.9m) due to the grant funding income and cost reduction activity resulting from the Cirtec contract and technology transfer activity.
Investor Q&A - New Date and Time
The Company will post a video from its Capital Markets Day for institutional investors to its website here: https://www.ilika.com/investors/cmd2024 soon after the event. Investors are invited to watch the presentation in their own time, ahead of a Q&A session which will be held at the new time of 11am to midday BST Friday 26 April on the Investor Meet Company ("IMC") platform.
Investors will be able to send questions in advance of the event via the IMC platform and will also be able to email questions on the day itself. Investors can sign up for the event on 26 April 2024 via the following link: https://www.investormeetcompany.com/ilika-plc/register-investor. Investors who have already registered on the IMC platform to meet the Company will automatically be invited.

About Ilika plc - https://www.ilika.com
Ilika specialises in the developing and commercialisation of solid-state batteries. The Company's mission is to rapidly develop leading-edge IP, manufacture and license solid state batteries for markets that cannot be addressed with conventional batteries due to their safety, charge rates, energy density and life limits. The Company achieves this by using ceramic-based lithium-ion technology that is inherently safe in manufacture and usage, higher thermal tolerance and easier to recycle, which differentiates our products from existing batteries.
The Company has two product lines. Its Stereax batteries which are designed for powering miniature medical implants, industrial wireless sensors, and specialist internet of Things (IoT) applications and the Goliath large format batteries designed for EV cars and cordless appliances.
