Application has been made to The UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for 2,430,588 Ordinary shares of 25p each to trade on the London Stock
Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List. The shares shall rank pari
passu with the existing issued shares of the Company.


52,551 Ordinary shares of 25p each have been issued upon exercise of options
granted under the IMI Employee Profit Sharing Scheme.

1,482,500 Ordinary shares of 25p each are to be block listed for future issuance
under the IMI Executive Share Option (1995) Scheme and 895,537 Ordinary shares
of 25p each to be block listed for future issuance under the IMI SAYE Share
Option (1994) Scheme.
