IMI plc
Investor/analyst visit to US operations
IMI plc, the major international engineering solutions group, is hosting a
two-day visit for investors and analysts to a number of its US operations.
On Wednesday 29 May investors will visit Cornelius, IMI's beverage dispense
business, and on Thursday 30 May they will visit Cannon, the merchandising
systems specialist, and CCI, the leading severe service valves business.
The trip will demonstrate progress with a number of aspects of IMI's
repositioning. The first day will focus on Cornelius's move to low-cost
manufacturing in Mexico; and the second day will concentrate on CCI and Cannon.
Strategically, IMI's restructuring focuses on well-defined, highly defendable
global markets where its businesses already hold leading positions and where
significant growth potential exists. Also central to this transformation is the
repositioning of IMI's five key businesses higher up the value chain while also
ensuring that they optimise benefits from both low-cost manufacturing
initiatives and better group procurement.
Presentations highlighting this progress will be made by Martin Lamb, Chief
Executive of IMI plc, Rick Barkley, President of Cornelius, Stuart Carson,
President of CCI and Wayne Whitney, President of Cannon, as well as other senior
managers.
As is usual practice, no information relating to current trading will be
presented during this visit.
Copies of the presentations will be available on the IMI website www.imiplc.com
from Friday 31 May.
