The following amendment has been made to the 'Transaction in Own Shares' announcement released on 27 June 2013 at 16:57 under RNS No 0647I.

The number of ordinary shares IMI PLC holds as treasury shares was incorrectly stated as 27,949,190 in the original announcement. The correct number is 24,443,945 shares.

All other details remain unchanged.

IMI PLC - Transaction in Own Shares

IMI PLC announces that on 27 June 2013 it purchased through Citigroup Global Markets Limited 90,000 ordinary shares of 25p each, at an average price of 1253.46 pence per share. The highest and lowest prices paid for these shares were 1267.00 pence per share and 1236.00 pence per share respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, IMI PLC holds 24,443,945 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) is 316,262,860.
