Take up of Open Offer of 17,366,479 Offer Shares
Following the closing of the Open Offer, announced on 13th July, 2001 at 3.00
p.m. on 6th August, 2001, valid applications and confirmations had been
received for 7,198,020 Offer Shares.
Under the Placing and Open Offer, the Directors, and certain members of the
Concert Party (as defined in the Prospectus dated 13th July, 2001), undertook
to subscribe for entitlements amounting to 7,112,590 Offer Shares.
Accordingly, when aggregated with applications received from other qualifying
shareholders, the take-up represents 41.4 per cent. of the Offer Shares.
The balance of 10,168,459 Offer Shares had previously been conditionally
placed with Nicholas Cowan, Ronnie Wood, Corvus Capital Inc, Brookspey
Limited, Peter Burrell, Robert Sangster and various clients of Insinger
Townsley.
The Open Offer remains conditional, inter alia, on the admission to AIM of the
Offer Shares, which is expected to take place on 13th August, 2001.
