Appointment of non-executive director

Impax Environmental Markets plc ("the Company") announces that
Charles Berry has been appointed as a director of the Company.  His
appointment will be effective from 1 October 2007.

Mr Berry is also currently a director of Drax Group plc, Eaga plc and
Securities Trust of Scotland plc.  Mr Berry was previously a director
of Scottish Power plc.

There are no other matters to disclose in accordance with paragraph
9.6.13R of the FSA's Listing Rules.
