Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that it has purchased 1,953,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 117.13p per share.  The highest price paid per share was 117.75p and the lowest price paid per share was 116.43p.   These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 324,509,373 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 4,306,037 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 320,203,336.
