Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 11 July 2012 it purchased 2,750,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 95.18p per share. The highest price paid per ordinary share was 96.0p and the lowest price paid was 95.0p.  These shares will be held in Treasury. 

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 324,509,373 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 45,051,303 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 279,458,070.
