Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that it has today purchased 905,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 98.64p per share. The highest price paid per ordinary share was 99p and the lowest price paid was 98p.  These shares will be held in Treasury. 

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 324,509,373 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 35,343,303 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 289,166,070.
