Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 31 January 2017 it purchased 500,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 217.44p per share. The highest price paid per ordinary share was 218.19p and the lowest price paid was 216.56p.  These shares will be cancelled. 

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 235,570,604 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 45,698,109 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 189,872,495.
