Appointment of Chief Executive Officer

Following the previously announced decision of Group CEO André Lacroix to leave the Group and join Intertek plc as CEO, the Board of Inchcape plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Stefan Bomhard as the Group's new Chief Executive.  André will leave Inchcape at the end of March and Stefan will take up his appointment on 1 April 2015.

Stefan (aged 47) is currently President of Bacardi Limited's European region, which is the company's largest region.  He is also responsible for Bacardi's Global commercial organisation and Global Travel Retail.  Bacardi Ltd is one of the world's largest spirits company and the European region has operations in 22 countries across Western and Eastern Europe.

Stefan has a PhD in Marketing and has accrued a wealth of experience in the retail and consumer sectors during his career.  He served as Chief Commercial Officer of Cadbury plc; Chief Operating Officer of Foodsolutions, Europe, a division of Unilever plc together with general management, retail and franchise experience at Diageo, (Burger King) and Procter & Gamble.

Throughout his career, Stefan has lived and worked in a number of markets across Europe and internationally.  In taking up his role at Inchcape, he will be relocating to the UK.
